I purchased this to store cushions on my father's deck. When it arrived there was a crack in the bottom corner of the back piece. Rather than pack it all up to send back, I repaired it with duck tape which seemed to do the job and didn't really show. I proceeded to put it together which was fairly easy but I was surprised at how flimsy the pieces were. The first disappointment was that the top didn't close securely so I used an S hook to hold it closed in the place where a lock could go. Then I found wet cushions when I took them out after the first rain and I could see water on the inside bottom. I thought I might have put it together wrong since one of the ends didn't appear to be as snug as I would like. (It was not the end with the duck tape). I proceeded to try and disassemble which I did in the reverse order of how it was put together. I found out these things are not meant to be taken apart once assembled! First, the hinges on the top broke when I tried to take it off making the whole thing useless and things only got worse from there. I continued since I wanted to know if I HAD put it together wrong but there didn't appear to be anything I could do to make the end fit more snugly. It's going in the trash today and I'm looking for a new deck box!
